In 2008, I felt the pull of a new challenge. Hollywood headshots, while rewarding, no longer ignited my creative spark. Eager to expand my horizons, I set my sights on the intricate and emotional world of wedding photography. My journey began at a wedding photography workshop at Julia Dean Photo Workshops, under the guidance of the imaginative and professional Yvette Roman, on the picturesque Venice Beach.
Yvette, a renowned wedding photographer, imparted invaluable wisdom to our eager yet inexperienced class. She didn't just teach us the technicalities; she prepared us to orchestrate a seamless and memorable wedding day for the bride and groom. From organizing a flawless timeline to understanding the unspoken desires of brides, Yvette equipped us with tools that transcended mere photography.
Armed with these new skills, I booked my first wedding in 2010, leveraging my experience with headshots and the principles from Yvette's workshop. I meticulously planned a timeline tailored to the couple's unique needs and creative vision.
On the wedding day, a hospital visit unexpectedly delayed the bride, compressing our schedule. With less than 20 minutes to photograph over 40 members of the bridal party, I drew on the calm and organized approach I had learned. Swiftly yet smoothly, I positioned, posed, and captured everyone in a natural, joyful state. The praise I received later that evening was a testament to the transformative power of Yvette's teachings.
Now, 16 years later, Yvette's principles remain the cornerstone of my wedding photography approach. They guide me as I craft each wedding day into a beautiful, timeless narrative.

Q: Do you travel for weddings?
A: Yes, I will go to the smallest towns and big cities.
Q: Do you deliver every image you shoot?
A: No, we do not. We eliminate duplicate images, test shots, missed focused shots, shots with bad expressions, and other images that may dilute the overall product delivery.
Q: How soon do we receive our photographs?
A: First previews are sent out after one week. Final edits are sent out in two weeks.
Q: How many photographs do I get?
A: Depending on the size and location of your wedding event. Including final edits, 200-500.
Q: Do you help the bride and groom with planning the timeline and photography wants/needs?
A: Yes, I highly encourage this collaboration. I'm available to help as much as needed.
